The Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar has been ruled out of the World Cup due to the injury.
Vijay Shankar who missed out the last match against England suffered a toe injury after being hit by Bumrah’s yorker in the practice session.
Though the injury didn’t look bad at that time, it has aggravated with time and now will miss the World Cup.
The Karnataka opener Mayank Agarwal will replace him. Agarwal who hasn’t played in the ODI format yet, can open the innings for the team and is picked in order to push KL Rahul back to number four position if Rishabh Pant fails in the next two games.
India will take on Bangladesh and Sri Lanka next.
