Man arrested in connection with the death of pregnant elephant

Recently, the death of a pregnant elephant shook the world. The elephant reportedly died after eating a pineapple stuffed with a firecracker. Later, it was revealed that the pineapple was used in order to scare the boars that destroyed the crops.

The death report of the elephant revealed that the animal died due to drowning and lung failure. However, was registered as an unnatural death due to the damage happened to the jaws.

In either way, this is illegal. Now, the police have arrested a man who works as the rubber tapper in connection to the case. The man identified as P Wilson, works in a plantation in the district. He works as a rubber tapper at this plantation. The accused is one of the three persons who was taken into custody for questioning on Thursday. The SP also said that more arrests in the case will be made on Friday. Thiruvazhamkunnu Forest Station, Deputy Range Officer, M Sasikumar also confirmed the arrest.
