All-Woman cab for Chandigarh

The women safety is becoming an issue in most parts of India and Chandigarh is one of those places where it is a concern. In order to stress the women’s safety, a start-up named Future Cabs has come up with a one of its kind initiative to have all-women service with dedicated women drivers for women travellers.

The start-up on Friday announced its e-cab service in tri-city of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali.

The e-cab will become operational from August 15th, and the company has offered free rides for the women on the launch day.

The mobile app will be created in such a way that the Women travellers can opt for only women drivers. Whereas the Women drivers will have the convenience to cancel any booking if they are suspicious or find out that a male member has booked the ‘only woman cab’.

To ensure the earning of the Women, the app will allow the women drivers to pick up couples in the daytime until 6, and the ‘only woman cab’ passengers will be allowed after that.

The app also offers SOS feature. During an emergency/panic situation by just click SOS button, a message will be flashed to the user or driver’s family and to our control room from where we can intimate about the situation to the police.

The future cab will also extend their services to four other places namely New Delhi, Mumbai, Surat and Kota.
