5. Unakkum Enakkum-Something Something (2006)


A remake of Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005), it stars Jayam Ravi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles and Richa Pallod, Prabhu, Bhagyaraj, Geetha and comedians Santhanam and Ganja Karuppu in supporting roles.

The movie talks about Santosh (Ravi), a Non-Resident Indian who goes to India to a wedding where he meets Kavitha (Trisha) and they eventually fall in love. But neither Santhosh’s mother nor Kavitha’s brother approves their love. The rest of the story is about what Santhosh had to go through to marry Kavitha.

4. M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi (2004)


M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi is a remake of Telugu film, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi.

The Jayam Ravi-Asin starrer talks about the story of a kickboxer who goes to Malaysia to live with his father and his step-mother.

The movie emerged as one of the best grosser of 2004.

3. Peraanmai (2009)

The movie stars Jayam Ravi and Roland Kickinger in the lead roles while Ponvannan, Vadivelu and Urvashi played supporting roles. This film is based on Stanislav Rostotsky’s 1972 Soviet film, “A zori zdes tikhie (The Dawns Here Are Quiet)”.

The film revolves around Jayam Ravi and five girls who bond together to defeat the potential threat to the Indian innovative rocket launch mission.

2. Santhosh Subramaniam (2008)

The film stars Jayam Ravi and Genelia D’Souza in the lead roles, while Prakash Raj, Geetha and Sayaji Shinde play supporting roles. It is a remake of the Telugu film, Bommarillu (2006). The film revolves around a father and son relationship; the father dotes on his son, who resents the same. The son’s choices and his ambitions to achieve something in life are subdued by his father.

This by far is the best movie of Jayam Ravi. The movie stars Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swami, Nayanthara.

The plot revolves around IPS Officer Mithran who wants to arrest Siddharth Abhimanyu, an affluent scientist who uses secret illegal medical practices for profit.

This movie marked the comeback of Aravind Swami and smashed all records at the box office and is the best movie of Jayam Ravi without doubts and the good news is that the talks are going on for the sequel of the movie.
