Deepika also encouraged people and her fans to speak about their battle with depression. Deepika in more ways than one had begun a conversation about mental health, and now, the actress’ story will find a place in an upcoming children’s book. The book titled The Dot That Went For A Walk is written by Lakshmi Nambiar, Reema Gupta and Sarada Akkineni; the book tells tales of 51 accomplished Indian women, who will introduce the concept of Women Power to kids from an early stage.

The book also includes illustrations by 51 artists from across the country, with the actor’s illustration having been created by Ritu Bhattacharya. Sarada Akkineni informed Mid-Day that Deepika was insightful and forthcoming while discussing her chapter in the year-long course of developing the book.

Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak along with Vikrant Massey. Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and DP will be essaying Laxmi’s role in it.
