If the reports are to be believed, the director Mani Ratnam is all set to make the famous ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ into a movie and he is looking out for artists from both North and South to make the movie. Since the book demands a lot of characters, Mani Ratnam is keen to rope Aishwarya Rai into the project. He is also looking out to cast her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan as well.
Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Bollywood’s Fanny Khan while Amitabh Bachchan in Thugs of Hindostan. Both the movies failed miserably in the Box Office. On the other hand, Mani Ratnam tasted victory with his multi-starrer Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
