Five women-centric biopics you shouldn’t miss

Talking about Bio-pics, in the past few years, we have seen some amazing and inspirational bio-pics. And this year we have lists of bio-pics of some amazing women who defined the true self of what women are and what they can do. We are looking forward!!!

  1. ManiKarnika

The first woman warrior queen of India who fought against British during her era. And became an inspiration for all the women out there who are independent, strong and brave.

The movie released in January 2019 and as excepted from Kangana, she nailed it with her acting.

 

 

 

 

 

  1. The Iron Lady.

The former chief minister of Tamil Nadu will be played by Nithya Menon. In this biopic the journey of her from becoming a famous actress to Amma for Tamil Nadu. Strong will power, determination and love for her people are the qualities which made what she is still in Tamil Nadu’s heart.

 

  1. Chappak

A survivor, fighter and activist Laxmi Agarwal will be played by Deepika Padukone. The true story based on the life of the Acid Attack Victim and Fighter Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika had said: “It’s a very important story and it’s a true-life incident, so hopefully good things will come out of it.”

  1. Shakeela

Director Indrajit Lankesh will be directing this bio-pic which is based on Southern Adult film star Shakeela. He told IANS: “Finally, the film industry is opening up to women because maybe in the 1970s or 1980s, they thought that women were only for songs and dancing around the trees; but biopics getting made on women show that there are a lot of women achievers who can stand on their own and it’s great.”

Actress Richa Chadda will be seen doing the role of Shakeela.

 

  1. Saina Nehwal

Actress Shraddha Kapoor will be seen in the biopic of Badminton player Saina Nehwal. More details are yet to be revealed about the film.
