Pulwama Attack: A Jawan escaped fatal bus attack due to the last-minute grant of leave

Ahmednagar based CRPF Jawan Takka Belkar avoided the fateful bus that blew up in the terror attack in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, thanks to the last-minute grant of leave.

The officer who wasn’t granted the leave for his wedding at first took the fateful bus along with other officials. A few minutes before the start of the bus, he received the call saying that his leave has been approved. The Jawan in happiness got down the bus, said that he would go home directly from here as he can reach early.

The officers hugged and congratulated the Jawan for his wedding lesser did they know what will follow. Belkar, who joined CRPF four years ago, received the news once he returned to the base camp stationed in Jammu and Kashmir. His wedding was finalized eight months ago.

On February 14, a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber, identified as one Adil Ahmad, crashed a car filled with over 350 kilograms of explosives head on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama.
