Priyanka Chopra is a huge star not only in Bollywood but also created a place for herself in Hollywood. The actress is not only a movie star but also the ambass
However, an online petition has been filed against the actress recently for putting out a tweet in support of India when the Indian Air Force ran a covert air-strike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and decimated several terrorist camps in the region.
Priyanka tweet didn’t say much other than ‘Jai Hind’ but incidentally, that was enough.
Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces ?? ??

The petition also claims that Priyanka’s choice of words in her tweet – ‘Jai Hind’ is a Hindu phrase which translates to ‘love live India’ and according to them an ambassador has to remain neutral during a political conflict.
“War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Priyanka Chopra was supposed to stay neutral & peaceful but her tweet in favour of Indian arm forces after they invaded Pakistan airspace shows otherwise. She doesn’t deserve this title anymore.” – the petition read.
Though both Priyanka Chopra and UNICEF hasn’t reacted, this has created quite a buzz in social media.
Can the @UN please take back their ambassadorship from Priyanka Chopra ?
Celebs who fuel wars have no reason to be talking about human rights at any forum.
Someone who ‘apparently’ works for children’s rights, needs to be schooled about the impact of war on children?#SayNoToWar— fatiymah (@liya724) February 27, 2019
Are or were you really Unicef goodwill ambassador? I really don’t know how an artist can praise military actions and especially while being an ambassador of UN. I don’t think this world could ever see peace when peacemakers love wars. #NoWar #PakistanIndia

You know something is wrong with @UN when their goodwill ambassador applauds a blatant line of control violation by @IAF_MCC that can potentially lead to a war between two nuclear powers
