The court places an interim stay on Chinmayi’s dubbing Union ban

The singer and voice actor Chinmayi Sripaada was banned from Tamilnadu Dubbing Union on November 17, without a show cause notice, citing non-payment of “subscription fees” for the past two years.

On December 29, a dubbing union meeting was held, and it was announced that Chinmayi could be reinstated into the union if she pays 1.5 lakh rupees, tender an apology letter and submit a re-application to be added as a member.

The singer took the issue to the court and now the court has given her an interim stay on the ban. Also, the dubbing union led by Radha Ravi was asked to respond to the same before March 25.

Chinmayi Sripaada who has been the leading force in the #MeToo movement and has called out many celebrities who involved in sexual harassment and it is to be noted that Radha Ravi, the dubbing union leader is one among them.
