Boney Kapoor to remake Badhai Ho in four South Indian languages

2018 was an excellent year for Ayushmann Khurranna as the actor had two of the biggest hits of the year- Andhadhun and Badhai Ho.

With many producers coming forward to remake both the movies, It is now confirmed that Boney Kapoor is all set to take Junglee Pictures’ production down South and remake it in four languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Confirming the news Boney told MM, “Yes, I have acquired the rights to all the South languages. It’s a film that resonates with both the masses and classes so I was keen on remaking it. I am yet to decide whether the Tamil or the Telugu version go on the floors first as it’s work in progress.”

Boney Kapoor is also confident that the South remakes will do as well as the Hindi comedy-drama directed by Amit Sharma. He said, “The Hindi version has done extremely well in the heartland, in fact, across the country, and I am confident the reception down South will be as overwhelming. As per the report, Boney is also producing Amit Sharma’s next film starring Ajay Devgn and is a biopic on Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
