The Indian athletes create history in Abu Dhabi as they win 368 medals in the Special Olympics, their best performance till date.
India sent a total number of 89 athletes to represent the country, something which is lesser than the USA where 350+ athletes went on to represent their country.
In total, India had won 368 medals with 85 Golds, 154 Silver, 129 Bronze. In powerlifting alone, India had 96 medals to their name.
Though this is the first time India had participated in Futsal and Judo, they were able to win medals for the country. In Judo, India had three Gold medals and a Silver while in Futsal India bagged seven silvers.
