Vijaya Shanthi was a lady superstar in Telugu movie industry before she bid adieu to movies to concentrate on politics. The actress was last seen on the big screen in 2006 and she used to be one of the highest paid actresses of her time.
Now, the latest buzz is that she has given a nod to play a key role in Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie with talented young director Anil Ravipudi.
If these rumours do come true, she will be seen back on the big screen after a gap of thirteen long years. In fact, reportedly she was offered the role of Sivagami in Baahubali but she had turned it down.
Talking about this, an industry insider said, “Though Vijayashanthi has earlier rejected a number of movies, including Baahubali, there is a very high chance that she might accept this project as it has a very good scope for her!”
